Transactional and Marketing Text-Message Terms (separate consents)
This page describes the text-message communications you may receive from The Playpen Enterprises LLC. Operational (transactional) text messages and marketing text messages are governed by separate consents. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time without affecting your ability to receive operational messages necessary to service a booking.
1. Transactional Text Messages
When you provide a mobile number for a booking, account, or verification flow, you consent to receive operational text messages from us at that number. Operational messages include, without limitation: booking confirmations, status changes (e.g., owner approval, captain assignment), one-time-password (OTP) verification codes, payment reminders, charter-day reminders, departure-time alerts, weather alerts that affect your trip, manifest and waiver reminders, dockside check-in instructions, post-trip support messages, and other messages necessary to administer your account or fulfill a booking.
Transactional messages may be sent through SMS providers such as Twilio. Message and data rates may apply per your carrier plan. You may reply STOP at any time to stop transactional messages; however, operational messages required to service an active booking, complete a required document, or comply with law may still be sent (matching the Privacy Policy Section 8 and the Terms of Service Section 11). To stop receiving operational messages entirely, cancel any pending bookings and remove your mobile number from your account.
You may also receive transactional messages tied to safety-critical workflows, including: identity-verification one-time-passwords, captain insurance and credential expiry notifications, weather-cancellation notices, and incident-response coordination during an active charter.
2. Marketing Text Messages (Separate Consent)
Marketing text messages are sent only to users who have separately opted in to marketing communications. Marketing messages may include special offers, promotions, new vessel launches, seasonal campaigns, and re-engagement messages. Marketing consent is separate from transactional consent: opting out of marketing does not affect operational messages necessary to service a booking, and providing a number for a booking does not by itself authorize marketing messages.
You can opt out of marketing text messages at any time by replying STOP to the marketing message, or by managing your communication preferences in your account settings. You may receive a confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out.
Marketing messages are sent through SMS providers such as Twilio and Sinch MessageMedia. Message and data rates may apply per your carrier plan.
