Black Yacht Weekend

One of Chicago's biggest boating weekends. Black Yacht Weekend brings hundreds of boats to the Playpen and lakefront for a weekend of music, culture, and community on Lake Michigan. Charter your own yacht and cruise through the energy with unmatched views from the water. This two-day event fills Chicago's harbors and the Playpen with decorated yachts, music, and an electric atmosphere that's unlike anything else on the lake. Important: Per USCG regulations, charter vessels are not permitted to tie up (raft) to other boats during this event. Your captain will cruise you through and around the action so you can take in the full scene safely from the water. Cruising through gives you a unique perspective — seeing the entire event unfold from every angle as you move through it.
