How much can I earn as a referral partner?

Commissions vary by charter type and partner tier. Eligible referral partners receive a percentage of each completed booking made through their unique link or code. Exact rates are shared during onboarding.

Do I need a minimum follower count to apply?

There is no strict follower minimum. We evaluate overall audience quality, engagement, relevance to Chicago or boating lifestyle, and alignment with the Playpen brand. Micro-creators with highly engaged audiences are welcome to apply.

Can I be both a provider and a partner?

Yes. Many of our providers (photographers, DJs, chefs, captains) also earn referral income by recommending Playpen to their own clients. Dual roles are encouraged.

How are referrals attributed to me?

Each approved partner receives a unique referral link and optional promo code. Bookings made through your link or code are automatically attributed to you in our system.

When and how do I get paid?

Eligible partners receive monthly payouts via direct deposit or Stripe after the attributed charter has been completed. Payment timing and method details are covered in the Partner Agreement.

How does event hosting work?

Event hosts propose a concept (e.g., yoga cruise, DJ set, tasting dinner). We review the concept, match you with an appropriate vessel, and handle ticketing, RSVP, waivers, and logistics. You market and fill the event.

What claims am I not allowed to make?

Partners may not make misleading safety claims, guarantee specific earnings, imply official Playpen employment, or create content that promotes unsafe or intoxication-forward behavior. Full guidelines are in the Partner Agreement.

What is the commission based on?

Commissions are calculated on the net booking value of completed charters attributed to your link or code. Details on what is included in the net booking value are provided during onboarding.

What happens if a referred booking is cancelled?

If a booking attributed to your link is cancelled before the charter takes place, no commission is earned on that booking. Commissions are only paid on completed charters.

Can companies or agencies apply?

Yes. Hotels, PR agencies, concierge services, corporate event planners, and tourism operators are welcome to apply through the Strategic/Hospitality partner path.

What happens after I apply?

We review every application personally and reply within 5 business days. If there is a potential fit, we may schedule a brief intro call before extending an offer.
